a man flexes his make up work in front of my lens, as i photograph him at the 2009 Zombie Walk here in Vancouver.
This was when i met :iconmk87: and :iconhermeneia4life:
the costumes were quite profound on most of the participants
that day, even got a photo of a guy with a rat in his mouth.
And yes, it was a real one. the poor animal probably had the worst day of his life yesterday and would rather be in a sewer.
I'll upload that photo together with the rest of them when captain slow (my pc) finally decides to let me edit them, but do expect a few photos from this event.

Steal this photo and i shall track the thief down and send this guy on the picture after you!

ps: he really reminds me of rob zombie for some reason.

he stinks too. i asked him how long it took him to
do up his make up and prosthetics, if that's what it's
called, and said it only took him 20 minutes!

That guy's makeup is righteously awesome and gross. Man he did a fantastic job on it.

I love the lighting and focus in the photo. Everything around the edges is appropriate dark, and the background is blurred out just enough. The highlight on the guy's makeup is spot-on.

Loving these Zombie Walk photos! I wish I had gone to the one in Ohio when I lived there. Hm, I wonder if they have one in this area. New Orleans seems like it should if nowhere else here does.

the lighting is mainly thanks to two soft boxes available where we were taking pictures. there's this group of people taking pictures for the participants,
and they had lighting gear set up just behind us. my external flash was triggering the two i think hehehe.
the background blur was all camera :) i was gonna blur it more but i didn't wanna mess up his hair :) i'm glad you liked this one. it seemed like a hopeless case a couple days after posting it hehe. thanks leanne!

Sometimes it is. ^_^ Sometimes it's a flop and I throw it out! But usually I have something nom nom when I'm done putting in all that work.
